"It takes ..." được dùng để chỉ một khoảng thời gian cần thiết để hoàn tất một hành động. Sau It takes luôn luôn là Verb(to).

Ví dụ:

- It takes me half an hour to walk to the bus stop every morning.

- It took us 6 months to finish the course.

- How long did it take you to finish the course?

- It will take you half an hour to change that tyre.
